National Park Week Specials – April 21-29, 2012
Black Hills Parks & Forests Association (BHPFA), the non-profit cooperating association operating sales outlets at 14 national park, national forest, and state park locations throughout the Black Hills announces a special sale during National Park Week. From April 21-29, all National Park themed products purchased at any BHPFA location will be marked 10% off. BHFPA members will also receive their standard 15% off purchases of any product made during this time. This special is for in store purchases only at Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Peter Norbeck Visitor Center in Custer State Park, and the Mystic District Ranger Station in Rapid City.
“National Park Week is a great time to visit and really get to know what the National Parks and Monuments in our area have to offer before the busy tourist season begins,” comments BHPFA Operations Manager Patty Ressler. “Plus, a portion of the proceeds from all items sold in BHPFA outlets supports interpretive programming at that location.”
Black Hills Parks & Forests Association cooperates with federal and state partner agencies in promoting public understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of the Black Hills’ natural and cultural heritage. This is done through the operation of sales outlets throughout the Black Hills, offering a variety of products for visitors wishing to learn more about the natural scenery and rich history of Western South Dakota, eastern Wyoming, and Northern Nebraska. The Association uses proceeds from its sales to provide financial aid to these partner agencies. Aid monies are used to fund interpretive publications, internships, purchase educational supplies and equipment, and serve as matching funds for grant requests.
